The steps for taking a screenshot (sometimes called a screengrab) varies for different operating systems. Below are details on how to take a screenshot for a variety of popular operating systems:

Microsoft Windows 8.x and Windows 10
Press the "Windows logo" key and the “Print Screen” key on your keyboard simultaneously.  The Windows logo key is usually near the bottom-left of your keyboard, and the "Print Screen” key is usually near the upper-right corner of your keyboard (it is sometimes labelled “Prt Scr” or “Prnt Scrn”).  Once pressed, your screen will dim for a moment and an image of your screen is saved as a file in the Screenshots folder within your Pictures folder.
You can now attach the saved screen shot to an email and send it like any other image/photograph.

Microsoft Windows Vista / Windows 7
Press the “Print Screen” key on your keyboard.  This is usually near the upper-right corner of your keyboard, and is sometimes labelled “Prt Scr” or “Prnt Scrn”. Once pressed, an image of your screen is now on your clipboard.
Click the start menu, type Paint in the search box and click on Paint in Programs section of the search results.
In the Paint window, click the paste button in the ribbon (toolbar)
Click the save button (an icon of a floppy disk) in the top left corner of the Paint window.
In the Save As dialog box, in the File name box, type a name for the screen shot and then click Save.
You can now attach the saved screen shot to an email and send it like any other image/photograph.

Apple MacOS (Apple iMac / MacBook users)
Press the "Command (⌘)" key, the "Shift" key and the “3” key simultaneously.  Once pressed, you should hear a camera shutter sound and a file will be saved to your desktop containing the contents of the screen.
You can now attach the saved screen shot to an email and send it like any other image/photograph.

Apple iOS/iPadOS (Apple iPhone / iPad users)
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your iPhone, then immediately press and release the Home button, then release the Sleep/Wake button.Once pressed, you should hear a camera shutter sound and a image will be saved to your Camera Roll containing the contents of the screen.
You can now attach the saved screen shot to an email and send it like any other image/photograph.
